Long Wave Radio Frequencies
Long Wave (commonly referred to as LW for short) radio frequencies range from 3KHz to 300KHz. Long Wave can be broken down into a couple of Bands.
- VLF or Very Low Frequency ranges from 3KHz-30KHz.
- LF or Low Frequency ranges from 30KHz-300KHz. In some instances the upper limit may be higher than 300KHz but will be no higher than the start of the Medium Wave Broadcast Band. Included in this is the 2200m Amateur Radio Band with a frequency range of 135.7–137.8KHz. For a list of Long Wave Broadcast Stations click here
